"Rachel was incredible, going far beyond expectations: impeccably organised, she grasped hold of our vision and ran with it to create a day that was joyful and charged with emotion. I can not recommend Rachel highly enough! "
Richard, June 2024
A celebrant is someone who officiates at ceremonies to mark key life events. These include weddings, civil partnerships, commitment ceremonies, naming ceremonies and end-of-life ceremonies. Some celebrants offer all types of ceremony, whilst others specialise in one or two areas.
More and more people are choosing a celebrant because they’re looking for a special kind of ceremony that reflects their personalities. A celebrant will work closely with couples and families and build a special lasting relationship. It's this relationship that allows the celebrant to create a unique, personalised ceremony, full of depth and meaning.
Some celebrants work for organisations such as Humanists; others, like me, are independent. An independent celebrant is not tied to any organisation, religious or otherwise. This means that you can choose whatever content you like for your ceremony. If you want to include religious or spiritual elements, you can.
A celebrant-led ceremony offers you the freedom and creativity to make your day your own. You can celebrate where you like, when you like and how you like. No rules, no restrictions, no limits!
